I was wondering about recording with more than 2 overheads, or with two different overheads. Just curious about this. .
This is my actual condenser mic setup:
AKG C1000 (2)
AT4033 (1)
KSM44 (1)
Before I got the AT4033 and KSM44, I used to record drums with the c1000's as overheads and I havent recorded any drums since then. I know the c1000's aren't the best, so how would you use the listed mics to be used as overheads..?
I know it will also be better to get one more AT4033 or KSM44, but while my budget grows again, what would you do?
Could I get good(or at least better) results with the c1000's plus the AT or the KSM, or just with both AT and KSM being very different mics. Havent tried anything yet, but would like to know what do you think about this..
thanks
i would use the nice LDC's and a little eq until it sounds about
i would use the nice LDC's and a little eq until it sounds about right.
c1000s suck big time (except for maybe live sound)
