i have been using cool edit for about 5 years (hip hop cats use it alot). now that i have some money i would like to know what the best sounding multitracking daw is. i dont need it to make my beats on, i use reason for that. i just want it to sound good when i record my rohdes or vocals.

Welcome to RO, I personally like Cubase but there's alot of choices out there. Try the search engine as there's alot of info on DAW software there and I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.
