sample rate question

I was just wondering something the other day. If I have a session in Sonar tracked at 24/96 and have any outboard fx equip that processes at 48khz do I have to convert my session down to 48khz before using those outboard fx or no? My instinct tells me no but logic says yes. Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks :roll:

It is going digital out from my motu hd192 at 96 khz into an outboard fx processor that has digital ins at 48khz. Will it be downsampled in the processor and spit out at 48khz back into Sonar or 96? thanks

if you want to put anything into a device that only supports 48 it has to be 48!!

if it's reverb or delay you're talking about i would recommend analog!!
