Hi guys,
For you electronics wizzes out there, i'll try to give you the reader's digest version, for the rest of you, this will be a VERY boring post:
I bought an old tube pre at a garage sale for $5 (altec Lansing 1567A, hand wired, all tube, decades old)
I had it converted to 4 into 4. I have 2 of the original mic transformers("Peerless 4722," 38/150:50K)
the signal is nice and rich, but pretty weak.
The other 2 channels are awaiting my transformer purchase.
I'm wondering if I can get 'hotter' transformers for the other 2 channels, to get more gain, or will it just bring up the noise floor with it?
Of the 3 numbers given, which one(s) would I be looking to change to get more gain?
Thanks
Keith

Is V3 being utilized?
