I've heard that the AardsyncII is tha shit from so many people. I assume that it's the best. I am really really curious to see how the lucid stacks up, cause it's so much cheaper, yet it's still from lucid, so you know it's not going to suck. If you find out about the lucid, let me know.

Depends on how many devices you need to distribute word clock to. The more devices the more stable box you will want. This is really meant for the ProTalk world on the hardware forums actually...more people over there will be able to give you advice on this than the DAW world side...
Personally if just clocking a few devices you shouldnt need a dedicated clock box..if you are transfering tape to digital than a clock box is neccessary. AardSync would be the way to go IMHO

hmm okey dokey, sorry, I thought it was pertinent to the DAW forum because that's what I would be using a word clock gen with :roll: ...

I think you know what I'm talking about - i.e. clocking the sound card to a master clock so some of that digital harshness is filtered out for tracking straight to DAW purposes...

and yes teddancin, the Lucid boxes seem to be the best deal going...
