Tube Mics on Guitar Cabinets

I just ordered a K2 today. Was wondering about other peoples experiences using a tube mic (specifically the K2) on cabinets...

Is there any kind of precautions to take when using...like do i

Is there any kind of precautions to take when using...like do i need to let the power supply warm the tubes up for a bit before use. Any extreme "do nots" when using a tube mic?
