I was wondering if there are any good books or online tutorials to give me more knowledge or a new approach to the mixing process? I'm stuck in a rut and no matter what band I record, even on different gear, they generally end up sounding the same.

Anyone have any ideas? I need to understand compression better and learn how to apply reverb properly (giving an even ambience with out being over the top).

Overall I need to learn how to mix and different approaches to a mix. a very broad topic I know, but any help is appreciated.
