Hi,
My first post- I own an Echo audio Gina 24 bit interface and I am currently using Acid pro 4.0 as my multitrack program and Sound Forge 6.0 for editing. However, I'v read that although this program is capable of multitracking it wasn't really designed for it. I will mostly be recording guitar, vocals, drums etc. and would like true multitraking software. I'm on a budget though and can't afford a 500-1000 dollar program. Maybe somthing from the 100-250 dollar range would be ideal. I was looking at Cubase SE version because it is cheap and can be upgraded to the primo version once I can afford it. Although I dont know weather this program is compatable with my Echo hardware. Could someone tell if Cubase is and also recommend software I may like better. Thx

Yes it is compatible. I have a pair of the Laylas and use Cubase SE. I do mostly audio (almost no MIDI) and started out with Sonar as I was told it was better for my uses. I really didn't like it very much and decided to try Cubase SE to see if I liked it before upgrading. I love it, it works great with the Laylas and the occasional MIDI.
