Hi all,

Does anybody know how to do a headphone mix in Pro Tools Le? Any advice or suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :D

Hi Phresh-Music.

Firstly, what are you wanting to send to the headphone mix?

Lets say it's a guitar audio track then you could try this:

1. Create a mono or stereo Aux track for your headphones.
2. In the "Sends" section of your "Guitar" track, set a Bus up (Any availiable).
3. Set the input of your Headphone Aux track to the same Bus as the one you used on the "Guitar" track.

You should now be able to hear the "Guitar" track through the Headphone track.

You can use the fader on the "Guitar" track to determine how much signal you want going to the headphones but this will also limit the signal coming from the "Guitar".

Alternatively, by holding "Command" on Mac or "Control" on PC, and selecting the insert Bus on the Aux track, you can change the view so that a smaller fader appears within the send box.

By doing this you can select "P" which will allow you to control the amount of signal from the small fader independent of the master fader.

Hope this helps
