Hello!
Anybody tried the "new" Yamaha 01v/96?
I'm a user of a 02r, which I like quite a lot (if you forget a few stupid things here and there), and a 01v, which is also nice as a keyboard mixer but...

I have to buy a digital mixing board for my studio; the 02r or 01v won't run faster than 48 kHz, so I'm not really happy investing in that...

I hope to get my hands on a 01v / 96 soon to check it, but until then, what's your opinion on this product?
And on the Tascam DM-24, which I also consider?

Thanks a lot!

I feel the Tascam DM24 is hands down a better board.I went through the same dellima a few month's ago that you are going through. After careful evaluation and numerous tests and opinions I choose the Tascam !Way better converters Way better sound. Warm Warm Warm. Not harsh harsh harsh!Do your self a favour don't lose out like you guys did with the Quebec nordiques .The Yamaha converters in my opinion just don't sound smooth. The Tascam is like the Montreal Canadians of the 70's GREAT GREAT GREAT!

JS, you have a similar setup to mine. Do not waste your money in another digital board, my friend. I still have the 02R V2 and the 01V OF.

save your money and buy a very nice analog stereo mic pre and compressor. Digital gear gets outdated very fast, lots of people made me change my opinions. I was very excited to buy the new 02R 96k.

Man, wait and invest is something you will be able to use for many years, like vintage mic pres and nice microphones.

Hope it helped ya
