I heard that the Apologee interface was not only compatable with Pro Tools HD but better than the Digidesign 192 interface. They are about the same price. Has anyone worked with or have any info on those apologee units. pro's - con's?

Man, having worked their as their tech support for close to three years that makes me laugh soooo hard!
Now on to business...The AD DA 16 X series units are really nice sounding and interface with Pro Tools ver nicely.
There are some people who say they don't really mind the Digi converters and others that say that the Apogee's are much better...it's really up to you whether or not you hear a difference. You should if you don't.
You can also interface the Rosetta 800's which are nice but not as good as the AD or DA 16 X boxes.
You can do some really cool stuff with the X series units with the software they currently have...digital inserts and what not.
