Digidesign Digi 002 Firewire M-Audio ProjectMix I/O

Hello,

I was just wondering what the differences are between the Digidesign Digi 002 Firewire Music and the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O are? They both look virtually the same. Except the Digidesign product is double in price. Why is it so much more expensive? Is it just due to the brand name?

the 002 can be used as a standalone mixer without a computer, is the biggest difference. the Project mix plays well with other audio apps, the digidesign drivers are flakey when not using PTLE.
