Hello...
First of all, I don't care for windows 7 (32-bit) and have been forced into using it.
I do audio editing, radio show production, etc... with Adobe Audition (have been using xp and audition 1.5 for years without issue. I have a p4 3.0gh, 2gb ram, M-Audio Delta66 with the OmniIO module. When upgrading to windows 7, I also upgraded to Audition 3.
Since doing windows 7, I'm finding the addition of audio artifacts during multiple areas of the process (recording from mic, mixdowns, etc...).
I'll be doing some windows 7 tweaks, next week, and my intention is not to trouble-shoot the problems (although you're welcome to voice in, if you'd like).
The big thing is that I simply don't think my computer is up to snuff. Another co-worker, that does content editing, has a p4 3.2gh, 4gb ram, and Echo Gina24. He's mentioned hearing pops and clicks, only to try to refind them without success. They apparently aren't really there, but the computer is making it sound like they are. Again, none of the problems were existent with xp and Audition 1.5.
To test, I uninstalled Audition 3 and installed 1.5. I continue to have many similar issues.
So, those of you that are running windows 7 for audio purposes, would you mind voicing your hardware specs and windows version? I suspect that a grand number of you are running new corei processors, or at least core2duo.
