Hey Gang, I'm using my SPDIF out of my recorder to send the final mix to my PC. Once in a while some snare hits will go over full scale. Would this be a big problem?
I see the wave is clipped for these transients, but cant hear any audible distortion. Should I be concerned?

My gut feeling is to lower the overall mix level, get it clean to the PC, then let mastering take care of boosting the levels. Comments?
