A young man goes to a monastery to learn to become a Monk. He asks the old wise Monk what to start with in the learning process.
The old monk states you must copy our manuscripts word for word and the young soon to be monk begins this task. A couple of days later the young monk asks the old monk "Master, how can this be correct? What if what I am copying is not right? How can we be sure something wasn't missed from the last copy?"
The old monk replies" Oh, young monk you must understand we have been doing this for centuries and it there has been no mistakes"
The young monk is satisfied with this answer and continues with his work
The old monk thinking about this heads down to the vaults and is not seen for several months. The young monk curious about this heads down to the vaults to find the old monk in a dark corner with a candle crying over a book.
The young monk asks "Master, what is it?"
The old monk replies "It says Celebrate!"
