How would I go about using a Delta 1010, which has 8 1/4" ins and outs each, for realtime effects use? For instance, take a guitar through Input 1 and have a distorted flange guitar on Output 1 in realtime?
put guitar into di input of your preamp of choice.
connect your preamp to any input. )1 to 8.
use software like ART Teknika Console Sound Moduler Studio or Xlutop Chainer to route effects or amp simulation an then output it to outputs 3 and 4 (if stereo needed)
route them to (outputs 3 and 4) to inputs of your choice.
open your recording application
it is advisable to set the effect aplication to realtime performance and set latency (buffers) to minimum (you need strong machine for that mind you)
press record and start recording/playing in realtime.
