I have a [="http://images.misupply.com/products/original/Shure/63814.jpg"]Shure SM58[/]="http://images.misup…"]Shure SM58[/] connected to my computer through a [[url=http://="http://media.zzound…"]Tascam US122[/]="http://media.zzound…"]Tascam US122[/] audio/midi interface (in my usb port), and I was wondering if it's possible to use the speakers to amplify whenever I sing or talk into the mic or whatever. Cause my friend has a simple 5$ mic at his house plugged directly into his onboard soundcard, and when he sets his volume really high (and has microphone said to play in the volume control panel thingy) his voice comes out of the speakers amplified. It's really handy for like, practising and stuff. But for some reason I can't get it to work with my setup... Help? :)
Btw I'm using WinXP (with SP2), and my soundcard is a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, if it matters. :)

No.. you didn't read my post. I have a Shure SM58 that i'm using thru an audio/midi interface plugged into a USB port.

As for your actual problem: are you able to play stuff off your computer (music, etc.)? Also, are you able to record with the mic? Is the problem getting the mic through to the speakers in realtime?

Well yea, but its good enough for a quick practise... Anyway, yea I can play stuff no problem and record fine, the problem is getting the mic through the speakers in realtime.
