Are there any good DIY plans out there to build a quiet box for a computer tower?
I'm guessing additional fan cooling would be a good idea once it's inside, any thoughts on that?
..or is it just a lot safer to buy a bunch of extension cables and put it in the next room?

Although not sure if you can get a "tank" case!! lol
Seriously...you could get a serious case that has major sound proofing or go to frozencpu.com and buy some quiet absorption products.
Would be cheaper to use an extend it system that can allow you to put the machine in a closet or different room.
