The fact that they are taking the time to do this means they believe in the project as much as you do and, more than likely appriciate what you are doing. So don't change the way you work, enjoy the experience.

Don't be a fan, don't be impressed. You're all there for the same reason, to make a recording. Keep you head in the job as you would for a band that didn't have a deal.

Ya know what the difference between a big time band and a small time band is? Pretty much nothing when they get into the room and start playing... the only difference will really be that the "big time" band will have more experience with how to play together [from touring a bunch] on how to arrange their presentation [from having recorded a bunch]... in other words, they're going to give you a more professional sounding product by the mere virtue that they've done this sort of thing before.

Just walk into the session like it's just another day with "Joe Shmoe and the Bandstand Bananas" and you'll do great!!
