Hi everyone,

The band I play in called sproll is looking for a producer for our first full length album. We are based in Moncton, NB Canada and currently are not signed to a label and have not secured any distribution as this is our first full length album we will be releasing.

Money for the project will come from recording grants from the province and country for a total of 75%, and the last 25% will be supplied by us. We are looking to fly the chosen producer to our location so they can record us in a local studio if it is deemed appropriate.

We are just starting out and believe that our band and songs are worth the extra effort we are putting in to finding the right professionals to help us in our project. We are highly motivated, excellent musicians who have always wanted to work with industry professionals and would jump at the chance if presented with it. We realize that we do not have the expertise to bring our songs to the next level and that's why we are looking for you to help us out. We are not married to any ideas and will trust your professional advice. Translation, we are very easy to get along with.

Thanks very much VulcanDC... we are trying to do something a little different than most rock bands, but still have the pop element in our music.

We have a couple of producers that are interested, but now comes the hard part of trying to figure out which one we want. It's a pretty big leap of faith on our part as I'm sure you know, especially since this will be our first time working with one. I guess we have to just trust in them and hope it works out for the best!

Hey guys, I'll check out your stuff when I get home from work.

This part interests me though... I am also a Canadian artist living in Ontario. I currently record our music in my home studio and it is of demo quality.

Can you point me to any information regarding recording grants from Canada/Ontario?
