Do any of you have experience with Garritan Personal Orchestra or MOTU Symphonic Instrument? I was just about set to go with Garritan when MOTU's product came out. MOTU's product seems to have a larger sample library, but it isn't listed under their products on the MOTU website, which makes me nervous about support (Garritan is supposed to have extraordinary support).

Any thoughts?

Yes! I use a lot Symphonic Gold, it's a wonderfull collection!
But it's more expensive:
Symphonic Silver: 150$ for 2.4 GB
Symphonic Gold: 500$ for 15GB
MSI (MOTU): 300$ for 8GB
(East West percs, and Brass Ensembles sounds too much familiar now because of the single natural reverb you have in the samples! Everybody Use it! But the soundbank is a powerfull tool!)
East West and MOTU don't have the same sound at all. It would be interesting to have both. If you can pay 500$ take the Symphonic Gold

I did look briefly at the EastWest stuff. I didn't find anything as inexpensive as $150 and I am looking for a virtual instrument to use with the samples (to be able to incorporate bowing, tremolo strings, legato, staccato, etc.). I'll go take a closer look.

$3000 (or even $1200) is way out of my price range.

Thank you to all for the comments and suggestions.
