The very first thing I'd do is fix the drums. Program them better they sound very stiff. less kick in the pattern it doesn't fit. Look into custom vintage by Toontrack it sounds amazing. The guitar that is panned left sounds tiny and amp simulated. re record it with a mic thru and a nice warm sounding tube amp. It has a noodly quality to it that you wanna get rid of. If you want send me the drum pattern as a midi file to pinnacle.pack@gmail.com I'll fix it and send you a the pattern as a wav file to show you what I'm talking about.

The song idea has a nice relaxing vibe to it tho.

id prefer to keep the drums Microphone recorded as opposed to programming,.., although programming would certainly help my garbage sound :) but yea, i'm tryin to stick with acoustic drums...thanks though packrobottom

ahh ok they sounded a bit like samples but it's just stiff playing. Yes I agree acoustic drums live are preferable. You asked what it needed and imo it needs a better drum part :)

so you have two options then. Get a better drummer/performance or program them.

As you can see the right sampled drums can sound convincing and better quality wise than alot of home recorded drums due to gear limitations. They are microphone recorded. 12 tracks with bleed. just not in my room :)

So that is my advice in a nutshell fix the drums and the lead guitar tone and you'll be in business.
