Just curious, what units do you use/recommend? And do guys know if there is anything else like the guitarbug, but higher quality? (I Have a feeling i am going to end up having to use a clip on belt transmitter or something, but still would prefer something that just goes right where the guitar input jack is)

The reason why the guitarbug is at the price it is stems from the fact that it is very small and does not allow high-quality transmission. Now, if you want to step it up to about $450, the best one on the market under $700 would be the Sennheiser G2 100 series. I have used it for years of gigging and stadium-size stages and turned on many other players to it who were in the market. Save just a few more pennies and get the G2 100.
Just FYI, if anyone tries to sell you on the Shure PGX series, don't even fall for it. So much low end and mids are lost so the guitar at loud volumes sounds like an over-tweetered POS.
