Is there an equivalent to "write to end" on the SSL G-series mixing automation/ultimation. I can't find it in the manual.

With "write to end" I mean this:
All mixing data from the current position and foreward in time are overwritten with the current fader position. The difference from "update absolute" is that you don't have to play through the whole piece to overwrite data. Whenever you stop the current position will be kept from this point foreward.

I've used this method on Fairlight and found it a great way of working. Is there some trick with SSL to accomplish the same thing?

don't work on ssl much anymore...use to be a guru back in the e & g days (that means; don't asl me about 'J'...where's "E-CUE" LOL):

type: 'name' 'here' 'end' 'mix' 'execute'....or 'name' 'here' and a cue location or time code number and then 'execute'. That will tell/fool the computer into thinking that it is at the end of the song. After you do the normal end mix command to finnish that mix. Don't forget at this point now to hit play for a momment..the computer thinks your at the end of the song..if you don't and proceed as normal then it will go past the beggining of the song, etc. Make sense?
