Hi, at the topic "ReCycle?" we were talking about a bug which is related to replacement of the audio to a video file (It can't be done). I guess I found another one, resuming the ReCycle issue, apparently a REX file, once imported to an audio track, can't match the tempo of the Nuendo project. I still hope I'm wrong.

Has anyone had a chance to try this board out yet? I know it has Rupert Neve front end and an AMEK back end, but is it a fancy "Big" or a great board in its own right. How is the sound? Pre's and EQ's?5.1 functions? Thanks for any opinions.

For playing live is it a good idea add a compressor to the main inserts to give an overall tighter or stronger(punchy) sound?
I have some compressors on various individual channel... :cool:

I don't believe it. I just figured out exactly what is wrong with my control room. I am suprised that anything I've ever done in here has been even listenable.

I'm working with Nuendo v1.5 & Pulsar (plus 6 DSP board).

My computer: AMD K7 1.2 GHz, 512 Mbytes RAM, 2 Hard Drives (20 & 40 Gbytes 7200 rpm), Matrox DualHead with 2 monitor outs and...
Windows 98 (puag. Why? There are NOT drivers for pulsar for win 2k).

Given the following three choices of mixing method, with Digital Performer as the recording platform, what would you choose, and why?

(1) Mix in DP
(2) Mix on budget digital mixer (01V, Spirit 328, Tascam TDM4000)
(3) Mix on budget analog mixer (Mackie/Ghost/etc.)--this is assuming decent quality A/D-D/A (MOTU 1224 or better).
