I'll start by saying I have no prior recording experience of any instrument. I've read up on recording an acoustic guitar and have come across a variety of different views. I'm not fussy about sound quality (and I have no right to be with my budget :D); all I want is an end-product that the majority of people would have no problem listening to in terms of sound quality.

No autotune and similar tools were used, all vocals performed by the same person.

Just layering of several tracks, going from 6 to 18 tracks., EQing and panning trajectories.

Looking for a studio with 1" recording gear so I can transfer my tracks on 1" tapes to digital tracks. I want to remix and just have them more accessible, etc...
I went to the studios I recorded them at and they all went digital and the reel to reels are broken or sold.
I'm located in Central NJ, and would prefer something in the tri-state area.

I am having a hard time getting MachFive to work properly in DP 4.61 - works in Peak 5? No soundbanks or parameters showing names...but working fine. I do not ever know what soundbank I'm in or sound I'm on?

Running 1.2.3 and DP 4.61 on 10.4.5 - any advice?

Im new to digital recording but have found that I really should learn how to do it. As of now I'm clueless yet willing to learn about digital recording. Im wondering if there is anyone out there willing to more or less teach me how to record. or maybe point me in the right direction so that i can learn. Any help will be appreciated.
