Well, this is my first time mastering to vinyl and I sure do wish I had some experience from vinyl cutting but I don't. Do I started to read on the subject and came to the conclusion that the cutting to vinyl will take away some low frequencies and add a lot of highs. I started with adding glue with slate digital VTM yo get some roundness also.

I am new to this forum.

I recently acquired a MOTU 16A. The unit, took a while to get setup and running due to software-based shortcomings from MOTU. Once the unit was setup however; after roughly 48 hours of tweaks, reboots, reinstalls and a myriad of bad words I didn't even know I knew...lol...the unit is proving to be very powerful.

I have been absent from this forum (that has been helpful to me) for awhile, but I'm back to have you guys help me build the 1st CD of a 3 CD set of hard rock and metal songs.

I have been thinking about adding an OB compressor to the rack recently, and, being on a budget I have come across the ART Pro VLA II. This thing seems to get a good wrap for the price, and general concensus in regards to feedback is they sound better when the standard stock chinese-made tubes are replaced with Mullard 12ax7 tubes.

Now the Windows community can join the fun.

For my setup, I have the sound going from my sound card directly into an external amplifer via rca cable where my monitors are connected (passive monitors).

I am currently using Studio one as my DAW of choice. ease of work flow. What are some of your choices to make music.

I was listening to Pensado's Place #224 on youtube and they got to a solo vocal to mix in 60 seconds.
Thing is, 6min later he's still adding pluginson the track and via buses..
I stopped the video right there and just started this thread.

Brien - using Bob Gold's calculator, how do I calculate a room of varying widths?

I'll be more specific ... I'm looking at moving into another area of my house - it's a Living Room area - where in half of the section, a staircase cuts into the width by 3 ft.
