Which drivers for MOTU 828 / Logic Platinum?
I just purchased the above system and am confused about drivers...
ASIO?
WDM?
MME wave?
I've been digging through the Logic manual but still not sure. From what I gather I would use the ASIO drivers...
am I correct?
Thanks for the help. zip >>

Alternative Room/OH mics
I currently use a pair of U87s (new style) for Overheads and RODE NT1s (no sniggering please) for the room. I'm looking for a pair of mics to use mainly as room (XY) but to also be an occasional alternative to the 87s for OH (when using the 87s as room mics)

Hi, I am a logic user and I am thinking about buying new audio interface. The audio work is not doing the job I want to get (cuz I would record at least 8cha at one time from my MPC) I am looking at MOTU 2408 or Lyla/delta. but many say sound quality of both system isn the best and ASIO is kinda suck at logic..are they true? what audio card or HD recording system should I get?

near-field vs. . mid-field
After looking at various monitors, I noticed that a pair of JBL mid-fields and the Mackie HR824 near-fields were about the same size. If I'm looking for my main set of monitors, should I be going with strictly mid-fields? Is most of the work being done in studios using near-fields? I did some searching on the web but didn't see an answer.
Thanks!

Euphonix CS2000/Pro Tools
I recently mixed a PT session on the Euphonix for the first time, and thought it would be a good idea to slave the desk automation from PT via MTC. My sync box was a MOTU MTP AV. The desk saw and displayed the code, recorded the moves but would not play them back ( as though it couldn't then see any time reference, even though the time code readout still followed PT faithfully).

Neve Modules - HI / LO Switch?
I've been using various 10XX series modules for a while now and was wondering in anyone knows the correct setting of the switch on the back of the module. I've always just went with whatever it was already set to, until I starting hearing about a "correct" setting for a particular mic. I recently spoke to someone knowledgable, and they said if you are using newer microphones, set it to HI.

AD8000 clock okay?
I'm just curious what you all think about the AD8000's internal crystal as far as a master word clock. I used to have an Aardsync2, and then I bought the 8k. I really had trouble hearing a noticable difference between the 8k's internal clock and the aardsync, so I sold the aard.
