Pssst...don't tell anyone...
...but...
Our moderator, Ms. Sherri Stacy Hendrickson, is a tall blonde hottie who plays a mean trombone. Our other moderator is neither tall nor blonde. Don't know about his trombone skills either.
Just thought you might like to know. ;)

Connecting a Sequencer with HDR 24/96
I am trying to connect my Roland XP-60 Sequencer with HDR 24/96 via D8B as my Master.
I have got a Word Clock Card installed in D8B. How can I sync these three devices together ?.
My sequencer has the standard MIDI In / Out connector.
Please advise .
Thanks,
Hanif

Apogee Word Clock
I am trying to sync the D8B and HDR 24/96 via an Apogee Word Clock card. The D8B is the Master, therefore, when I go into the Setup screen, I set the clock to Word Clock, and same on the HDR 24/96.
When I try to sync, I get a Lock Error. Can anybody help me ?. May be I am doing something wrong in configuring these two machines.
Thanks,
Hanif

The never ending search for bigger/fatter sound in DAW
Hi Gang,
I'll give you guys the set-up first. I track 75% real audio/25% midi projects to a mac hard disc medium. Pro studio(ie, I make my living at it)
Concern- improving warmth/fatness on tracks & mixes, (ie the elusive big analog sound)
Gear
mid quality mics(RODE NT-1, AKG C-1000's/D-II2, SM-7, 57's, CAD,, ATM,etc)
Double tracking vocals
Most of the songs I've written and recorded are done featuring instrumentation in mind
(since I can't sing to save my own mothers life). I play mostly Jazz/funk, R&B etc and my recordings consist heavily of 4 piece horn section keys, gits, drums with a horn usually playing the melodic portion of the jam.

Digitech VCS-1?
Can anybody give me a thumbs-up or thumbs-down on this unit? I'm looking at a used one for a decent ($350) price.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi guys,
I was on this forum a good while back for a few posts but have sauntered away. I share the same sentiments regarding the jading of the DUC and I really like the new face and body of RO. Anyway, here's the Q...

METRO
I appologize if this is a dumb question, but I can't seems find the answer anywhere. I am looking to find the sequencer METRO because it was mentioned in the Deck mannual. Where can I find it? Is it freeware? OR How much? Is there a better product for general use? I am grateful for any enlightenment.
Thanks

Reaktor...any thoughts?
Im just curious if anybody here has used this thing. It seems quite interesting for software. In fact I was thinking of getting some sort of va, but then it dawned on me I could just dedicate a cpu to reaktor.
It seems theres tremendous potential with it since its got a sampler plus all those types of synthesis as well.
Anybody out there use this impressive software?
