Geetar Center is opening in Hicksville tonight!
Yep--right down the road from Mars--which is right down the road from my favorite oldschool pro audio shop.
Mix for FM Radio
I have a mix being played on FM radio tomorrow. Considering the amount of Compression/limiting that happens at FM stations, would I be better to send them a version that hasn't been compressed/limited across the mix bus ? I always do two versions of each mix - with/without mix compression.

Patchbay question
This may not be the most approriate forum for this question but as I have read the posts of Fletcher on RAP for a couple of years, I feel confident he will have the most concise direction.
I recently added a 2" 24 track to my studio setup that includes 32 tracks of ADAT XT as well. I currently have the ADAT I/Os and the board I/Os linked in a patchbay.

How to sync an ADAT/BRC to a Korg
I need plain, remedial instructions on how to sync a Korg Trinity sequencer to XT20's thru a BRC.
We need to break out individual tracks of the sequencer and transfer them to the ADATS.
Also, may need to have the Trinity play back in sync with the ADATS during mixdown.

Sound of Radar 24
Does Radar 24 really sound better than Radar II and if so how ? - bearing in mind a decent set of converters alone would normally cost as much as the entire Radar 24 package (or does the advertised package not include everything)?

Sleeper Gear
Fletcher,
Is there any gear out there that perhaps is not as well known as others but still would be valuable to have in the studio. I mean, I would love to have a bunch of 1073's and V76's in my studio but that's not an option. What else is out there? I'm interested to hear your and everyone else's opinion.

New (old?) ways of controlling keyboards
I hate the black and whites. No, I am not racist. I hate playing the keyboard sometimes. With all this modern technology at our hands, it surprises me that most synths still are usually controlled buy a keyboard, with maybe and aftertouch wheel. I'd like to change that.

The ultimate patchbay-do I have to build it myself?
Here is my idea for the ideal patchbay, for me at least.
I'd like to have 1/4" TRS connectors on the front, normalled, switchable to un-normalled by solder, jumpers or switches. The back will have ELCO connectors, compatible with ADATs. From there I can also put 1/4" connectors on the ends of the ELCOs to interface to my equipment, ADA's, whatever.
