recording drums and stuff
ok so I have a m-audio delta-44 breakout box and Im looking to record drums. Im confused about how to do this, the impression I get is that you have a mic on each peice of the kit and edit the tracks once they are at your comp. like if you cant hear the high-hat on the recording your bring that up a bit, but anyways my question is how do I use 7 or 8 mics to do one recording?

Recording Electronic Drums
Hello. I have a Yamaha electronic drum kit hooked up to an Edirol MIDI interface which then feeds into my laptop. I'm trying to record using Cool EDIT 2.0, but I can't find where/how to switch my input to my USB port (where my MIDI feeds into.) I've tried several things but to no avail - and it's driving me up the wall. Any help anyone can provide would be very much appreciated.

Recording Acoustic Percussion
I had started a thread here the week before Chritmas on this subject. I understand some threads were lost due to a bug in the system. The topic was recording acoustic percussion and a number of useful techniques were suggested. Unfortunately I did not save the info before it dissapeared but actually between remembering suggestions and my own experience the session went real well.

Recording V-Drums on a GNX3?
I'm sure this is a fairly ignorant question, and it may even be slightly off topic, but here goes. I have a Digitech GNX3 guitar floorboard, and I have used the included drum tracks to make several demos, but now that I am trying to record my songs for real, I need REAL drum tracks.

opinions wanted, do these drums sound good?
first of all here is a quick snipet of me playing our new setup: now i know the drumming sucks, but I'm not the drummer so go figure.

Drums mics
Hey all, apologise if this has already been asked. Just curious what people favourite mics are for Micing a kit. I'm a fan of 57's on most things but I'm new to all this and would love to learn about a few other mics too.
Cheers
Jay
