I wonder if you could help me. I have RODE Classic II tube condenser mic, and looking for some high quality two channel mic preamp, up to 2000 $, for recording vocal and acoustic guitar.

i picked up a condener mic, the Behringer B-2 pro. i hooked everything up and when i turn my 4track machine on, the mic has a loud hum, like it's 'presence' and i can't figure out how to turn the humming sound down without adjusting the volume which the mic takes in itself. if i turn the input level down, the humming goes away but so does the sound level - i record and nothing is heard.

I already have a reasonable collection of microphones such as AKG 414 - solid tube - drum pack (C1000 etc) some Sure (SM57- 58 etc) an Audio-Technica and a few esoteric ones but...

I am on the look out for an ultra quiet Mic that i can record very very quiet sounds with (EG: a pin drop :) ) and i need one for under £500 !

I might get the Behringer truth monitors, approx $300.
I heard good things about them, and i'm currently using a stereo as well! it's an amp, and infinity book shelf speakers. I own a Shure sm57, it's my studios microphone, and I love it, good choice!

I have a conference room that will need up to four floor mics for audience participation.

They are exploring all options and the question of using wireless mics came up. Unfortunately there are concerns re: security using UHF/VHF mics.

I was wondering if any of those pre-made drum mic kits are any good? Is there one that's fairly cheap, but sounds good?

I need to get my music out in a good presentable way. The resulting CD would eventually be sold to individuals as well as be used as promotional material.

I still haven't made up my mind between the Korg D32XD vs d16xd as the recorder/mixer unit. The cost of microphone/s will play a roll.
