Any ideas? I just bought this second hand and I was told the only problem was a perished pinch roller. I replaced the pinch roller and fired it up for the first time yesterday and it won't play. It forwards and rewinds and stops without problem. The display is perfect and if I manually roll the tape across the heads the meters register the material but it won't play.

If you take a DI on your bass track and then proceed to amp that bass track and mix it in with the DI, what if the two tracks are out of phase, but you like the mic positioning on the amped track. I remember hearing about a plugin where you can adjust phase by the degree for a total of 360°, but let's say you don't have this and need an alternate method. What would you do?

A friend asked me if i can be their FOH man for a couple of gigs. I've been working in studios for a while now but I've never really did any live work.

How do you mix sounds up and down? As in guitar sounds like it should be higher, and the bass should be lower on the vertical axis..

I feel like an idiot because I cant think of a better way to ask that question haha

I know part of it must be using an EQ correctly, but is there anything else to it?

I worked with Hans only briefly and a long time ago, but we share a common opinion about UAD plugs.
They really get very close to the real things... Even if they need a card to play on, somehow it is just more
sound in them then digital algorythms..
