I received an ART TPS II and would like to upgrade the tubes. Any suggestions?

I'm seriously thinking of buying the ISA-428 MKII as it seems like a good balance of decent pre-amp vs price. I currently own a Tascam DM-4800 and the pres are nothing to brag about on it. I also own an LA-610 which I route directly into my MOTU-2408 and I love what it does for tracks thus far. The differences between it and the Tascam are huge, just so much more detail.

Has anyone had success is using Emu Emulator X3 with Sequoia 11? So far the Emulator X3 has been useless. Cool on its own but seems to cause issues with both Sonar and Sequoia.

Until last night I had not even installed the Melodyne Essentials RTAS that came bundled with PT Le. But my daughter had to use it at her internship and she commented that it might be useful on a couple of tweaks on a CD she is going to help me mix.

Ive been experimenting with gain automation for my mix, its sort of a necessity for the music Im mixing - not because of major recording problems, but simply to get as much dynamic range out of the music and have it as natural as possible. Ive read a couple times andy wallace does this, along with a few other engineers, but think he does it after compression..

Hey everyone, Just wondering if beat detective is something that comes with the standard pro tools le or do you need the music production upgrade? And also I'd like to hear about your experiences using beat detective (easy to use? difficult to use? Would you be able to live your life without it? etc...lol)

In many of my recordings (mostly quieter or acoustic songs) there is a good amount of string buzz that is unrelated to the playing and simply comes from the string rattle getting picked up by the pickup or mic.

I can live with the noise, but would rather have the option to minimize it.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, but I'm having a major issue! Please help! Whenever I try to bounce in Pro Tools with beginning and ending fades, it reads the beginning fade as silence--and cuts in right after the fade when there's the first signal. I have NO IDEA why it's doing this, in fact, I've tried reinstalling and that doesn't work please help!
