Logic TDM output issue.

I'm trying to use Logic with Digidesign TDM hardware system and I can't seem to output an audio track to a single output channel. I only get an option of 'output 1&2' or 'output 3&4'. I can't just select a mono audio track to output to 'output 1'. I normally use an Apogee Symphony system in core audio mode and this isn't an issue. Is this a limitation of a TDM setup?

Rendering with Reaper x64

I have rendered a few songs with Reaper, but I'm having trouble with one aspect.

When I render any song, all VSTi's are incorporated in the final product, though any changes or modifications to those VSTi's sound are lost. Only the original sound is rendered.

Does anyone know what setting I need to check off or use to render with all changes to VSTi's in the final product?

the old simple days of recording compression the only "effect"

hey guys, I am not a recording engineer, am familiar with making demos at home, but have always flirted with home recording vs studios.

I was watching a special about Sun Studios and how they had no eq, and that everything had to sound good when tracking. If you wanted to a different eq, change your amp settings/move the mic.

Logic - Built In Instruments - Bass Levels

Let me just say, I'm not new to recording but I'm very new to Logic, and still slowly learning my way around the interface. I'm in the process of recording a song, it's got 2 guitar tracks and one bass track as of right now. I'm trying to use one of Logic's Built-In Instruments for the Bass Guitar track.

Amplitude won't show up in Cubase

I downloaded a fully functional trial of Amplitude and can't get it to load up in Cubase. I go to the track insert and it's just not there. It works just fine in stand alone mode. I'm operating the 64 bit version of Cubase with Windows 7. I read somewhere that there were compatibility issues with plugins in 64 bit Cubase. Just wondering if that might be it?

Logic Platinum 5.5

Does anyone still use Logic Platinum 5.5? The reason I'm asking is because I was wanting to open some old projects but I don't know if it is compatible with Vista. I was using it on XP a while back and I have all the work backed up but I'm wondering if I would have to install XP on a drive and use the Vista machine to control it whilst I bounce all the necessary files.
