I've recently aquired some Acoustic Energy AE1's and now I need a poweramp for them. They are Biwired and have a minimum of 8ohm's. I'll only be using them through an EMU 1616m, which has 1/4" balanced outputs.

I made my 1st y splitter. my design is a bit different than others I've seen so I want to make sure there is no obvious quality problem with my design before I wire all my mic preamp outs this way. I'm trying to incorperate a very poor quality 8 channel XLR to XLR snake to send for headphone monitoring to save money.

A friend has a Boss BR-1600 and wants to send a few songs for me to mix on Protools. Does any one know if the Boss can back up a song and let me see individual tracks in Pro Tools 7 ?

It seems that Cubase won't let you send the metronome output to an individual bus so that only the drummer can hear it. Any ideas? I can only think of syncing my drum machine and recording the analog click back into SX2. Thanks for your help.

All bands for compression.

I have a question about the "Range" function.

Lets say I have the range set to -2dB. This will allow only 2dB of gain reduction to be applied to the band in question. (or so I read)

Can anyone make any suggestions?

I already got the UA Tutorial Onscreen DVD. That was nice. I'd like to check out some more, perhaps some with a bit more depth.

I'm especially concerned with recording, equalizing, and compressing vocals. Also to learn some more mastering tequniques.

i am very interested in buying Nuendo 3..i researched HD3 and honestly for what I'm goin to invest..I'm not sure if its the BEST route right now..

i was told Nuendo on PC is ROCK SOLID! and ALSO that its not available for Intel yet..

What is the bestway to do this? Should it bedone before with an outboard compressor, or after with a plugin ? Or should it bedone with a plugin while it is being recorded?
