I can't believe it...

One of my students told me that as he walked through the subway beneath Central Station (Sydney) at peak hour this morning, he went past a very good violinist. Moments later he was approached by someone from the Sydney Morning Herald who asked whether or not he noticed the violinist.

Ok I need a decent pair of monitors. Im in college so that means for the next 3 years i will be mixing in a bedroom probably no larger than 14x14 room.

Today i saw a used PAIR of krk 5's for $179! and they run $150 EACH online.

Will they be good for where ill be using them. These will be my first monitors by the way.

At heart I do Jazz productions, however I'm able to do other genre's. I'm actually looking into other industries that I can do work for and gain possible additional revenue streams. Does anyone know if the digi 002's line mic inputs have phantom power? and what mics require phantom power?

I'm basically asking a broad question about my "work in progress" DAW.

I am trying to use the padKontrol with Pro Tools 7.3 LE. I cannot get Pro Tools to recognize anything because when I try to set the padKontrol, I get a device not connected message. I have been searching diligently for the past two days on some good reliable help...Korg has yet to send me an activation link to their forum so I found this one...Can someone help please. TRU!

I'm looking to buy some new monitors to replace my current setup. Currently I have the KRK5 Rockets and the Event 5's. I was looking at the JBL LSR 1428 speakers and at the moment I love them and they seem like they sound reliable. The price is a bit steep though ($1400 for pair) which got me wondering about when I want to expand to surround sound.

I'm an ex singer in a rock band. Got away because of the crazy life it brought but miss making music. I want to start recording at home as a hobby to start. My old band did some recording in a basement but was all done by one of the other members through a mixer and a computer. My gift is in vocals and I want to concentrate on making beautiful harmonies with some effects.
