Getting my foot in the door
Forums
I know that we all are trying to do the same thing, but in my case a large part of the problem is focus. What should I do if my interests range from wanting to sing Broadway to songwriting to becoming a session/background vocalist - whatever it takes to be heard?

RME ADI-2 Connected to an M-Box?
Forums
Can I run my RME ADI-2 using my M-Box as the soundcard? And if so, does anyone have any thoughts about the pros/cons - i.e. does the M-Box suck as a soundcard? Also, not to sound completely ignorant, but would that just be a SPDIF connection between the two? Many thanks for your help.

Stereo overdubbing, phase issues and acoustic mono...
Forums
Hey everyone!
I have some issues with a mix that has been bothering my noodle for the last two days. After this, I will be more in line to use the audio analyzers a little more often though
Pro Tools sample rate..96K or 48K?
Forums
hey, when recording with Pro Tools at 96K and bouncing the mix to the harddrive (a Wav file), it doesn't play back, but when i record at 48K and bounce it to disk into a wav file, it plays fine. i'm sort of new at this, so is there anything i'm missing
thanks.

Roland KC550 vs Peavey KB5, or something else?
Forums
Hi,
I recently bought a mic and now i need to amplify my voice. The mic is a Shure Beta 58A. Since I spent good money on it, I'd like to have good voice amplification.
signs of a bad clock?
We are about to have a recording session over a long weekend
Forums
We're running DP4. We plan on sending everything to a professional to do final mix. How should we record our original tracks?
Do we use any plug in's or record raw?
Should we ad EQ before the software, or let someone mess with it after?
What Db level should we should for so we don't run out of headroom?
Recording in different rooms of my house
Forums
...approximately 60 feet away from my DAW. I would like to try recording different instruments in two different rooms of my house, the entryway and the living room. They both are large rooms with high ceilings and I think drums, acoustic guitars, or maybe amps could sound cool there. Plus the living room has my family's Yamaha baby grand and I REALLY wanna mic that baby up.
