When did you start to consider yourself "pro"
Hey all, I was just wondering at what point you considered yourself a pro sound person? This field seems to have the largest grey area as far as what actually defines a pro. It's pretty cut and dry in athletics, and most other things that use this distinction.
Diminishing power in my consumer electronics
Hey all, I've notice recently that at some point within the first year of use, my and even my friends, consumer electronnics power amps/speakers seem to fade or settled down a bit. Whether it so my phone, my home theater, and recently my iPad, it seems to me that it takes a couple of extra notches on the volume dial, to get bit to the comfortable level I was used to initially.

EMT 140 Stereo Plate Reverb Amplifier
Hello. We purchased this EMT 140 Reverb Amplifier at an auction and purchased it "unseen" as it was wrapped and boxed and they would not allow anyone to take off the packing around the boxes to take a look at it. They auctioned it off as "large lot stereo equipment". When we finally found enough strong friends to help load/unload it we got it to the storage unit and saw what it was.

Recording With Multiple Audio/MIDI Sources into Logic Pro X?
Hello everyone,
Just a quick question about inputs with Logic Pro X.
So I would like to record a few microphones through my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, thru Firewire into my Macbook Pro. Then, I want to record MIDI drums from my Alesis DM8 Pro, by USB, into the computer.
Hard drive failed.
My hdd hard drive in my computer has failed. I am very glad I did a full back up two days before it happened. This time I'm going with an ssd drives sense it's faster and I use a laptop it will be a more durable option. I don't know what to tell my clients though. It's going to be a week or two until I get the new hard drive and I have deadlines Friday.

Keep things simple get better mix?
So often I go back and listen to iconic albums like physical graphite , or nevermind(don't kill me for putting nirvana in the same sentence as Zeppelin lol.) and wonder how with such limited technology due to analog recording(which I love) how is it that they were able to get such killer sound?
