Hello. We purchased this EMT 140 Reverb Amplifier at an auction and purchased it "unseen" as it was wrapped and boxed and they would not allow anyone to take off the packing around the boxes to take a look at it. They auctioned it off as "large lot stereo equipment". When we finally found enough strong friends to help load/unload it we got it to the storage unit and saw what it was.

Just a quick question about inputs with Logic Pro X.

So I would like to record a few microphones through my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, thru Firewire into my Macbook Pro. Then, I want to record MIDI drums from my Alesis DM8 Pro, by USB, into the computer.

My hdd hard drive in my computer has failed. I am very glad I did a full back up two days before it happened. This time I'm going with an ssd drives sense it's faster and I use a laptop it will be a more durable option. I don't know what to tell my clients though. It's going to be a week or two until I get the new hard drive and I have deadlines Friday.

So often I go back and listen to iconic albums like physical graphite , or nevermind(don't kill me for putting nirvana in the same sentence as Zeppelin lol.) and wonder how with such limited technology due to analog recording(which I love) how is it that they were able to get such killer sound?

I’m still at least 3-4 years from completing my studio build (I have a build thread under Studio Construction) and as I get closer I need to begin making some concrete choices about my recording + mixing setup. I've used Nuendo from the start for more than 4 years now. I’ll try to keep focused and concise but I think my quandaries are closely interrelated between 2 dilemmas.

I have a good, fast machine, but there's no FW interface on it, and I have access to a few pieces of gear that use FW as the connection that I'd like to try.

I have some old ysm1 from Yorkville and wonder if the Yamaha would be upgrades or not..

Hi guys, i plan on buying 2 Tannoy 502s and a sub ts 2.10, my question is, how do i connect all that to the pc? Do i need a sound interface like, for example, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2? That one or a different one?

I'm looking at getting 3 LSR6332s to run as the LCR in my home theater. I'm wondering if anyone here is using these monitors and if so, what are you using to power them? Thanks in advance.
