I'm in my 5th year as a full-time studio owner/engineer, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to approach a few of the smaller indie labels in the area. I want to build some good relationships with a few of them in hopes of getting some future clients. What's a good professional way to open some of those doors? Where do I start with them?

Well, I got mine built and have been using it for almost 1 1/2 years now.

Where would you put your money when buying monitors that translate the best for the buck to the real world? These monitors currently represent my budget, and are on the final block for consideration...

I have a LYNX One and LYNX 22 question, seems basic but elsewhere I haven't gotten an answer.

Lynx One:
·Two 24-bit/50kHz Balanced Analog I/O (!)
·24-bit/96 kHz Digital I/O
·Flexible Synchronization

Things are starting to come together and I'm finally able to start mixing in a studio I've been building piece by piece for about 18 months. Cool.

The CD burner in my Mac G4 733mhz has died.

Any suggestions for a replacement?

I'm going ti build a new DAW. ( for the guitarplayer in my band)
I have this question about DDR RAM.
I'm going to buy 2x12 MB PC3200 400 MHz sticks...
Since I have Samsung in my own DAW I thought I'd go for that.
But the only ones I find have CAS 3.0...
I thought that a lower CAS like 2.5 or 2.0 was better.

I AM A SONAR 3 USER, AND I THINK THAT CAKEWALK HAS NOW PROVEN IT SELF IN BEING, NUMBER ONE IN DIGITAL RECORDING.ESPECIALLY SINCE NOW IT HOST VST & DXI THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE...IF ANYONE DISAGREES "PROVE ME WRONG"..LONG LIVE CAKEWALK.
