I would like to know your opinions. I've been using Pentium computers for years and they have always worked better for me than AMD (always testing same Processor speed, Ram and so.
But I heard a lot of people telling that Athlon is supposed to be better for audio aplications.
What do you think about it?

Does anyone know of any DirectX or VST plugin chorus or reverb effects that will allow me to hear the reverb or chorus effect while I'm singing or strumming? I have plenty of plugins that allow you to apply an effect after the track is recorded. Thanks

I'm interested in the U195 or U99 as primarily a vocal mic and secondarily for acoustic guitars. I was considering a Neumann U87ai, but have heard undesireable things about them. Could someone describe the sound differences between the two Soundelux models and what types of voices/styles of music work better or worse on either?

I'm looking to purchase a sound card but don't really know much about how they work in terms of I/O, midi, # of tracks, and AD DA.

I have yet to record more than 2 trks at a time but would like a soundcard that could record at least 4 if/when necessary (I would not need more than 4).

I have access to a restored pair of Altec C322A compressors. Anybody have thoughts on them? I'm not an old Altec guy, so I don't know if these are some of the wildly sought-after models. Any idea what they're worth? Thanks for the help.

Just got this in the mail this week from Emagic. I love it already. I hear others talk about it being buggy, but I haven't experienced it yet.

Anyway, this program really opens up my JV-1000. I mean I look at it now in the same light as I would a softsynth, total editability, total recall with the associated song, and ease of use! Frickin A!

Hi, am having some problems with my new sound card. I just got this sound card put into my comp and did the basic routing. I am using Sonic Foundry Vegas Audio as my multitrack recorder, when i asign a channel to record, it records fine, but sometimes a crackling sound accompanies the recording.
