Choosing a Sebatron pre
Forums
hi seb,i'm not sure if you remember me.I was the one that helped you back on stage when you fell off during that gig at the station hotel ( back in '93).First let me say congratulations on your success, you certainly didn't let on you were such a whizz back then although i think you mentioned you were playing through one of your custom amps at that show.

spec deal points?
Forums
I've recorded a couple of songs for these guys and they have enough for a CD, the material is great and the singer has a wonderful silky voice that I think will sell them. They are a typical young group, they all have kids and not much money to spend on getting themselves out there. So I'm thinking about offering to record the CD for them on the speculation that it will sell.

Setting Midi Bank Changes in Cubase SX 2.0?
Forums
I use Cubase SX 2.0 with a Roland M-VS1 sound module. It has 255 presets(bank1=128,bank 2=127) I can’t seem to get Cubase to perform a Bank Change to get to the other presets(129-255). If I manually set the bank change in the SX Inspector I can change all presets. But during Playback SX will not change presets?

3 Hard Drives?
Forums
I have 2 Seagate 7200 Hard Drives installed(you already know Opus!)
One is a 13 gig with my OS and Apps
The second one is a 20 gig for samples, sound files etc.
Rather than replacing one with a larger HD, I thought of just adding one more. Therefore, I could have one for the OS. Second for sound samples and Ghost image and the 3rd would be for sound/video files.

Organizing Songs in your DAW...
Forums
I'm making the transition from the old-skool analog realm of mixers and outboard gear into the DAW world. I won't go into the numerous headaches and frustrations (in general, I'm enjoying it), but rather just ask a somewhat philosophical question:
How do you approach the management of songs?

PT Bounce
Forums
Hi friends! Do you guys bounce your SD2/Wave 24 bit files at which setting: good / best / tweak head?
As faster dual processor computers have been on the market for a reasonable time and PT 6.x uses both processors, seems lots of people are preferring the tweak head setting.

Recommendations For a Cable Tester
Forums
Any thoughts on this?
I've looked at a variety of them - Ebtech, ART, Whirlwind, etc. - but what have you found that works well for you? Want to make sure I get one that'll check for out of phase conditions in addition to all the other kind of tests.
