I just got a great Tama rockstar kit. In the shop i listened to it and i fell in love with the great sound it produces. Now i'm no expert drummer so i bought myself the Tension Watch. The values it advices for the snare are pretty tight for the bottom head. Is this normal. It feels like i'm torturing the snare or does it need to be very tight?

Hi all this sound card is 6 XLR in 2 XLR out24/192... how do these things perform?... Im looking for a new sound card to so mainly guitar bass abd vocals and then take them to a studio and have drums added to it... But i also want the option to do drums if i need to and i think i can do it with 6 inputs... How does this compair as an option to the RMEmultiface?

I have a small home "studio" space and have just put my cables in order, separating and grouping the power sources away from the audio cables.

My Rane preamps provide +15v phantom power. The specs for my new AT4040 say +48v.

What are the ramifications of using +15v phantom power with the AT4040 mic?

whats the best way to get 12 channels of preamp into the computer... the most i have seen for anologue has been 8 channels at a time? so how does one get 12 channels in? any RME products able to do this. thanks

I am thinking about getting 2nd UAD card.

I have a 2.2Ghz P4 w/ P4B533-V. & 1 gig ram.
Should this work ok. Are there any known problems?
Will be UAD processing/memmory headroom go up by 100% or like 50% or something?
