I've got a Digi001 rig with a PreSonus Digimax as my mic preamp. I use the ADAT output on the Digimax into pro tools as to free up all the analog i/o's on the 001 for outboard gear/additional mics. My question is regarding converters vs external wordclocks.

when I apply effects to my inst. and vocals and listen to it through my headphones and it sounds great but when i hear it through my monitors i can hardly hear the effects. What source should I trust the monitors or the headphones?

ok i have osx..and pro tools le 6.2
but i have all these sweeeeeeeeeeeeet plugins for os 9 that dont work for me right now...
oh no! what to do?
is there any way i can run OS9 without having to reformat my comp?
so can i run both? like os9 like an application or somethin...

1. How good is internal A/D D/A converter in Alesis? Is it worth to get external one?
