I'm replacing my firepod and really only require one input at a time so the two front instrument/mic inputs on either the box or the studio mobile should be more than fine.

i want to set up a cheap portable studio to record demo's for my band, etc. i have a 10 channel Yamaha mixer and a few Shure SM57/58's we use live, what else to i need to make a descent studio? i have about $500 to spend

i've just started recording some songs recently. teaching myself to use abelton. so i've got this old sansamp bass DI that i've been trying to record my guitar with. it sounds pretty good until about half way through recording a track, i get this loud electical static noise. i made sure everything was grounded, tried a different guitar, cords and still the loud crackle will happen every time.

Okay so i have windows 7 ultra and Cubase 5 and Fl Studio 8. . i can record with my Tascam us1641 audio interface...buuuuuttt the tracker/seeker that shows where your playin in the song is like at least 7 bars ahead. . so when i push play i have to wait 7 bars before it will play the beginning. . which makes it impossible for multiple tracks or re-recording. so my new theory!

I'm looking for a digital recorder for use with dictation that allows for editing/insertion without the need to go to a computer. That is, I wish to be able to record something, then play it back, and at a point in the playback that I choose, press a button which allows me to insert a new section in the middle of the previous recording.

I've been looking at the Audix Carbon fiber boom systems and wondering if our crew has had the opportunity to use them for choirs, and overheads? Maybe TheJackAttack?
