Hey! We're a reasonably new acoustic band, looking for a bit of feedback on our stuff, and any advice you can give us. We're both new to the music industry and it's a difficult one!

I have an M-Audio FireWire interface which is very mobile and an FMR RNC Mic Preamp. I use them to record classical acoustic concerts and recitals and I like both of them.

i thought some people might find this frequency chart usefull for arranging and e.q'ing.
i printed one out and have it near my mixer for referrence.

I currently own a PreSonus firestudio...a AKG perception 200...3 sm57's and a Shure beta 57. I can actually make a good mix since ive been recording for over 5 years...and am a junior in college for music industry. I think its time i step it up and get a good preamp. My question is. should i spend a grand or two on a single channel preamp? or a grand or two on a multi-channel preamp...

ok i got a windows xp home edition compaq presario 32bit desktop my sequencer is magix studio 10 deluxe,An a m-audio delta 1010lt sound card,my problem is every time i here play back of my music or anything else it works fine but when i stop playback it makes an ugly distored sound an this sound only happens when i here music in my daw cuz i tried it on windows media player an it doesnt happen

I would like to know how to improve the recording I made of my orchestras performance of a piano concerto. The room is difficult to record (all the curtains absorb the sound giving a rather dead sound). Since we have little budget, rather than hiring a recording engineer, I will have to suffice for that position.

does anyone have any experience w/ db technologies gear? flex sys etc?

Hi everyone I am saving up to get the PreSonus tube interface in a few months. Has anyone used it or had experience with it? I would really like to hear more about it before I buy. I have heard great recordings from the PreSonus firepod (which is pretty much the same thing) so that has interested me in buying the PreSonus tube. Also has anyone used the studio one DAW that comes with it?
