Has anyone used any of the Oktava Mod(ed) Microphones? Im trying to decide whether or not to try them out.

Now i have a Behringer 1622fx mixer but i hear i need an interface for even better quality?What one shall i buy and how do i set it up? i must add I'm only recording vocals if that makes any difference

i have a used m-audio mobile pre and a pg 48 microphone that i've been using with various free multitrack recorders and softsynths and feel it's time to step up to the next level.

i don't want anything super fancy.. but enough to get goodquality results.

I have a FireFace 800 but its not going to get me by with it.

I'm also curious to how it sounds compared to a FireFace 800? Different animals but I wonder if its conversions are as good or better?

All these years and we've never had a monitor forum. what do you think? Is it worth creating a forum or not?

Hey everyone, I'm new here and had a quick question about some monitors I am able to buy and am wondering if it's a good deal. They were all previously used in a professional studio and I'd rate them a 9.0 - 9.5 out of 10. The list is as follows.
5x Genelec 8020A monitors
2x Genelec 8030A monitors
1x 7050B Subwoofer

My 2 main vocal mics are an AT4033 and an SM58. Most of the time I wind up using the 4033 as I love the high-endsparkle it has without being at all harsh in any way on my voice. So I am happy with it. That being said, I think I'm beginning to develop the gear addict syndrome that some of you talk about, and I have around $300 that I'm thinking of investing into a new mic.
