Can't get Guitar Rig 3 to work
Forums
Hey.
I just have installed Guitar Rig 3 (software edition).
I have connected my guitar to the input on my MacBook and Guitar Rig doesn't seem to recognize it.
I have to mention that on Garageband and Logic 8 my guitar works perfectly with the MacBook's input.
I work with Mac OS 10.5.4.

Is there a sound difference in DAW's ?
Forums
Ive read, where some people say that if you load up the same tracks in different DAW's on the same PC, use the same hardware and monitors and press play, each will sound different. I find it hard to believe. Anyone ever do an actual test ? Its all digital. I can see where different hardware would effect the sound. But not software.

Computer problem
Forums
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question
I'm experiencing a lot of lag problems using Cubase
I have a AMD 64 4000+ 2.41Ghz
With 2GB of Corsair XMS RAM
I'm running a Firestudio Project
I turned up the Firecontrol buffer to 1024samples
and I'm still getting a lot of lag, I'm assuming that it is a VST
problem

Live guitar EQ issues
Forums
i use an Alesis DEQ in my guitar rack. i noticed last night while playing a show that i couldn't hear certain parts of our songs, but then other parts were very audible. i am boosting what i thought where the usual freqs for guitar, but i am wondering if not boosting mids at all is the cause of this. when i say boost, i mean maybe 4db max, and talking freqs from 200-600 and 1.6-6k.

Recording Overdriven Guitar ...issues
Forums
I recently bought a fairly low budget set up for sound recording
This includes a:
Behringer fca202 soundinterface, leading to a Behringer mic100 preamp, with an MXL DRK mic.
I'm a sound recording novice but was assured with this set up I should be able to get decent sound even with overdriven guitar.
Not really the case.

going digital
Forums
I had my first opportunity to use a digital board for a live show today. It was pretty fun getting to know the M7CL running monitors for several bands at the show.

Simple & Affordable Setup Searching
Forums
I would like to get back into home recording and need a simple yet effective setup on a a small budget. I will be recording from home, mostly acoustic stuff, however I would like to be able to record drums if needed. So, I would prefer to be able to record 8 tracks at most.

Limiter/Compressor
Forums
Ok I know this may be a stupid question, but I downlaoded a limiter and I need to know where to put the effect. On the master track? Just on the vocals? The bass doesn't hit as hard when I put the limiter on the beat. How do I fix that too? thanks

ABY + Stereo?
Forums
Can I run a A/B/Y pedal on an amps line out, then use those outputs to make a stereo image of the guitar?
I was thinking this could be useful for recording live shows in addition to quick "in the bedroom at 4 in the morning", but this will work correct?
