Anyone having experience Micing a bagpipe? I want to get a bagpipe in to do some sampling but it is a new adventure. Ideas, tips or tricks?

In owner's manuals, they tell you that you when you place the monitors in corners or close to/flush into a wall or on a meter bridge, you must make adjustments to the EQ settings at the back of the monitor to compensate for it. But what these manuals don't define is HOW close you must get to a corner or a wall to be considered close. 3 feet? 10 inches?

I didnt know if this is the correct forum but i need help rewiring this mic. but i bought a C414 today, from craigs list local, for 500$. it says C414 but no EB, its not any of the new models...it has the brass ring capsule as far as i can tell (its all brass )

Hello,I just bought a Zoom H2 to record some song idea's and acoustic demos.I was just wondering if anyone else on this board could maybe let me know how i could use the Zoom most effectively for recording these demos.I've never done recording before so i'm kind of in the dark on this one.How far should i be away from the mic? What settings should i use? Front mics or all 4?

I want to record my upright U3 piano at home, my set-up is as follows:

Edirol R-09HR-high grade stereo condenser mic/recorder
Mic stand/boom stand
No mic adaptor, thus duct tape/velcro tabs to hold mic to stand!

ok.. I'm running Sonar 4 producer edition and reason 4, rewired..

I am basically trying to have reason play, and then I record my guitar on Sonar
