I read that the fp10 can only have 1 mix going out (main/phone/cue). Is this correct? I would question what the purpose of the 8 TRS outs would be.
Is there a way to have a separate mix for each pair of outs (presumably with phones following the output)?.

Hi. I see all sorts of MIDI controllers for PT and Digital Performer but nothing that lets me hit record without using my hand. I'm trying to decide between these two and if there's something that works for that it could clinch it for me. Thanks in advance!

1. Record a track to get levels (any instrument):

2. Apply mild eq and gentle compression based on instrument.

3. Record a keeper track

I've been doing a little hardware testing the last few days, after realizing that I could barely stand editing with my m-audio omnistudio usb (by editing, I'm referring to finding/removing small ticks/pops/etc... during audio).

Good Enough?

I have a problem understanding where to set my levels when I track an instrument. Here is my setup:

Instrument > to cheap Behringer mixer > seasound soloist > Sonar

I don't know where to go as high as I can without peaking, and where to leave headroom?
